The meeting of President Goodluck and governors and ministers on the issue of fuel subsidy removal has just ended. The Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Madueke, has said government is trying to ensure a speedy resolution in the best interest of Nigerians.
Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has called for a quick resolution of the crisis. He said the Federal government should reach an agreement with NLC. He has also urged both the government and NLC to listen to reason and bend their ego to find a workable solution.
According to Channels TV, after a meeting of top government officials at the Senate President’s residence in Abuja, Governor Amaechi hinted of a possibility that the nationwide strike embarked upon by organized labor would be resolved soon.
He said the delegation from the federal government side came to see the senate president to present a proposal to him which they think is a solution to the crisis.
