GEJ cancels broadcast as strike continues today

President Goodluck was to address the nation at 9:00pm yesterday, 15th January, 2012. However, the broadcast was postponed due to certain reasons known only to the President himself and his aides.

However, NLC has said the strike would continue today. Details of the meeting with the government have not been released.

Protesters are urged to lead peaceful demonstrations to avoid violence. Reports have come in that hundreds of Policemen are reportedly taking over Ojota, the venue of Lagos occupynigeria protest. Although, when probed, they said they were doing routine security checks, we speculate they might have been dispatched to stop the protest.

Nigerians, while ‘occupying’, please be vigilant.
