Abuja High Court Adjourns Orubebe’s Two Billion Naira Misappropriation Case

Justice Olukayode Adeniyi of the Abuja High court adjourned the case brought before him by the ICPC against Godsday Orubebe and three others.

Council to The ICPC, Osuobeni Akponimisingha, pleaded with the court to adjourn the case since the ICPC had not served the defendants with the charge, TheNation reports.

The court granted the request with the case adjourned to 30th of August.

The case before the court is a five count charge against Godsday Orubebe, Oludare Lawrence Alaba, Ephraim Tewolde Zeri and Gitto Costruzioni of Generali Nigeria Limited. The ICPC is charging them for diverting about two billion naira meant for the dualization of Section IV of the East West Road.

ICPC alleges that the Orubebe paid the over two billion naira approved as compensation for demolished properties to the contractors instead of the beneficiaries.
