Rio 2016 Paralympics: Team Nigeria is all the way up

The Paralympics is on and Nigerian is 12th on the medals table with four gold medals, two silver and one bronze- so far.

But that’s just one half of the story.

It started on Friday, Ronald Ezuruike won gold medal in the men’s 54kg powerlifting category. Then Paul Kehinde also in the powerlifting category, clinched gold. Team Nigeria’s captain, Lucy Ejike added the third gold medal while setting a paralympic and world record in the process. She lifted 136 kg to pull off this feat.

The silver and bronze medals are also form powerlifting categories.
