APC says the PDP should apologies to Nigerians for leaving the economy in a mess.
This is according to a statement signed by the party’s National Secretary, Mai Mala Buni. The APC says PDP sabotaged the economy and squandered the nation’s common wealth while in power. And did this without heeding warning signs.
The statement highlights areas the current administration is tackling to revamp the nation. Such as moves by the government to diversify the economy, tackle the challenges in the Niger Delta region, the fight against corruption and the agreements reached to boost power, solid minerals, agriculture, housing and rail transportation.
The statement reads in part,
“The President Muhammadu Buhari administration has embarked on well- thought economic agenda, policy actions, appropriate fiscal, governance, and socio-political reforms to revamp the economy and tackle the nation’s current challenges in the short to long term.”
The APC’s statement is a reaction against PDP’s call for the President’s resignation, after the National Bureau of Statistics’s report revealed that the economy is in a recession.
The statement from the APC did not touch on the issues raised by the PDP from the report.
