The Code of Conduct Tribunal found former Minister of the Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe guilty of false asset declaration.
Chairman of the Tribunal, Danladi Umar ruled in favour of the federal government in a one-count charge of false declaration of asset against the former minster, TheCable reports.
“The prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt, and all evidence tendered are admitted,” Danladi said.
”I hereby seize, on behalf of the federal government, the property known as plot 2057,” he added.
Besides this, Orubebe still has a case before the Federal High Court in Abuja where the ICPC alleges he misappropriated two billion naira meant for the dualization of Section IV of the East West Road.
