Power Generation will hit 7,000MW by Q1 2017- VP Yemi Osinbajo

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo says Nigeria will generate 7,000 megawatts of electricity by the first quarter of 2017.

The Vice President said this at the 8th session of the National Council on Industry, Trade and Investment, Vanguard reports.

He said the work has began on nine transmission stations across the country in a bid to generate said 7, 000 megawatts of electricity.

He also blamed the vandalisation of the Folcado terminal and four other export terminals as responsible for the drop to almost 2500mw.
