Senate Summons NDDC Ag MD over Abandoned Shore Protection Project

The Senate issued a summon to the acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari.

Mrs. Ibim Semenitari is expected to give details on why the agency abandoned construction of Shore Protection Project at Koko in Delta State.

Also summoned is a senator who’s said to own SMIEC Chemical Engineering and Construction Company Limited – the company awarded the contract on September 15, 2006.

While the project is worth N309,252,500.00, the contractor received N2 billion and abandoned said project.

Also set for tomorrow, is the screening of former Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma- Egba, as Chairman of NDDC.
