5 Simple Beauty Hacks For The Working Woman

Do you sometimes wake up and go like “omg, I gotta do my hair, gotta put on make-up”, and you roll out of bed and wondering how much time you have to get ready; get dressed, get your hair and makeup done and head out to work. The story of working women is similar in most houses. Almost always in a hurry to make it to the office in time, an hour-long makeup session is unthinkable. For last minute make-ups, working women need to know some handy beauty hacks to look fresh and beautiful every morning.Check out these simple beauty hacks from Fashion Ghana.

No time for a manicure?: Use glitters to cover chipped nail polish by applying it to the base of your nails. The trick to this is it gives an ombre effect that’s really pretty.

Say goodbye to dull eyes: To disguise that you haven’t had enough sleep, line the inner rim of your eyes with a white eyeliner/pencil. Not only will this trick brighten your eyes, but it’ll also make you look wide-eyed.

Long-lasting lip colour: This doesn’t mean you should rush out to the nearest cosmetic store to get a MAC lipstick. To make your lipstick last all day, hold a tissue over your lips and dust them with translucent powder. And there you have it, long-lasting no-fade lip-colour for days.

Make highlighting and contouring easy: To contour your face, draw a backward “3” (like the shape of an “E”) in a concealer two shades darker than your skin tone. Start the top line on your temple, put the middle line right below your cheekbone, and draw the bottom line underneath your jawbone. Then buff out the two shades, blending the lines completely for a seamless finish.

Too tired to wash off your makeup?: Baby wipes to the rescue! Use a few sheets of baby wipes to clean off your make up at night. Remember to always keep a pack by your nightstand for easy access
